The following applies to all Bhaya Cruises vessels. You can find further information by using the menu at the right.
Regular tea and coffee are free during meals times. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. One complimentary bottle of water/person will be provided in your cabin/suite each day. Additional bottled water is available for purchase.
Dress onboard and ashore is relaxed casual. We urge you to dress comfortably but modestly. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended for sightseeing excursions. Dinner attire is “evening casual”. Warm clothes are a must during the winter months from November to March. Cool, light clothing for sun protection is recommended for summer.
Cash, Credit Cards and Currency Exchange
Payments onboard can be made by credit card or in cash. We accept cash in USD, EUR and VND (Vietnam Dong) and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards.
Please note, there are no currency exchange services available onboard.
Guests with particular dietary requirements, such as allergies, vegetarian/vegan, low salt, diabetic, low cholesterol, etc., must alert Bhaya Cruises at the time of booking or no less than one (1) day prior to the cruise date. If you are cruising with a baby or toddler, please also let us know in advance if they have any special food or eating needs. The Bhaya chefs will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your dietary requests, but this will be difficult without prior notice.
Onboard electricity is 220V AC. Adapters are available at the Reception Desk on request.
Extra Bed/Baby Cot
The size constraints of the cabins and suites mean we cannot provide extra beds. However, we can arrange a mattress (80 cm x 160 cm) or a portable baby cot by request. Please ask your travel consultant for the details when you book your cruise.
Physical Access Conveniences
As the Bhaya cruise vessels have been built to historic designs from a bygone era, there are no facilities or conveniences for people with disabilities.
Fishing tours with local Ha Long Bay residents are available for groups of no more than five (5) participants and advance bookings are required. The fishing tour at Vung Vieng floating fishing village lasts from 4 pm to 6 pm of the first day. Please contact your travel consultant for the details and cost.
Hair Dryers and Toiletries
Hair dryers are available at the Reception Desk. Your cabin/suite toiletries include shower gel, shampoo, lotion, shower cap and vanity kit.
Internet access is not available for guests. The limited connectivity onboard is reserved for official Bhaya use only.
Kayak usage is included in all two-night cruises. For one-night cruises, kayaks are available for hire at US $15/kayak/hour. We recommend booking in advance at the Reception Desk. Any kayaks not booked may be hired out on a first come first served basis.
Please note that kayaking may not be available due to cold weather in winter or if wind, sea and tide conditions are considered potentially dangerous.
There are no laundry services available onboard. Ironing/pressing is available for a fee. Please contact the Reception Desk.

For missing or damaged luggage, or to inquire about an item you may have left onboard, please email us at email@example.com. When contacting us, please ensure you give us your full name, cruise vessel name, cabin number and the cruise date.

There are no onboard doctors as part of the crew. However, all vessels are equipped with First Aid Kits and basic medicines.
Please ensure you bring adequate supplies of prescription medications to cover the duration of your trip. We also recommend you bring medicines for colds, fever and diarrhea. Of course we hope you will not need them, but it is always better to be safe.
Since serious medical emergencies require assistance from onshore resources, if you or one of your cruise companions are feeling ill, please inform the Reception Desk immediately.
The onboard language is English. Cruise Directors, key staff and tour guides all speak English.
Each Bhaya Classic vessel has an onboard shop offering a wide range of souvenirs.
Jewelry and other valuables can deposited in the safety deposit box at the Reception Desk. There are no in–cabin/suite safes.

If you are traveling solo, you can stay onboard in a single room with a single supplement surcharge.
Smoking onboard is only permitted on the Sundeck and Royal Suite private decks.

A wide range of spa and massage services are available onboard in the spa area. Bookings should be made in advance at the Reception Desk. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. Service charges will be added to your shipboard account.
Each cabin has its own telephone for cabin-to-cabin calls. Ship-to-shore calls can be placed at the Reception Desk and charges will be added to your shipboard account. Please note that mobile/hand phone coverage may be intermittent in some places due to the topography.
We would be happy to arrange your Vietnam visa on arrival, transfers and hotels in Hanoi. Learn more about these related services from the menu on the right or contact our travel consultants for more details.
Tips are discretionary and not included in your cruise price. Rather than showing your gratitude to each staff member, you may tip the onboard staff collectively at the end of your cruise. We suggest USD $5 – $10 (or equivalent) per guest – but of course it is up to you. Collective tips are aggregated and distributed among all the staff. Any additional, personal tips are at your discretion.
